Behavior Contract

Purpose:
This document outlines the expectations for student behavior during the Confirmation day retreat. The goal is to ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for all students, the Confirmation team, and retreat staff members.

By signing this contract, both students and parents/guardians agree to the following rules and guidelines.

**General Expectations for All Students**
1. Respect for Others:
- Treat fellow students, chaperones, and strangers with respect at all times.
- Use kind and polite language.
- Respect personal space and belongings.
- Be considerate and supportive in group settings.

2. Safety:
- Follow all safety instructions provided by chaperones and staff members.
- Stay with your group at all times, unless given permission to separate.
- No running or rough play.
- Report any concerns or safety issues immediately to a Confirmation team member or retreat staff.
- All medications need to be checked in with a Confirmation team member. Please place medications in a Ziploc baggie with the student’s name and dosage instructions.

3. Behavior in Public:
- Always use appropriate language and demonstrate good manners.

4. Participation:
- Engage in all scheduled activities and follow the instructions of the Confirmation team and retreat staff.
- Actively contribute to group discussions and tasks when requested.
- Be punctual—arrive on time for all activities and meetings.

**Conduct During Group Activities**
1. In Small and Large Groups:
- Stay with your assigned group at all times.
- Follow the guidelines provided for each location.
- Use an indoor voice and be mindful of other retreatants.
- No shouting or disruptive behavior during group activities.

2. Respect for Property:
- Leave all retreat property as you found it.
- No graffiti, carving, or damaging property.

**Electronic Device Use**
Phones and Electronics:
- Phones and other electronics should be used only during designated times.
- No phones used during scheduled activities unless explicitly allowed by a Confirmation team member.
- Parents can contact Dcn Dan through his cell phone. A phone conversation can be arranged at a suitable time in the itinerary.

**Consequences for Misbehavior**
Failure to follow the expectations outlined in this contract may result in the following consequences:
- Verbal warning and a reminder of expectations.
- A written report of the incident and a call to parents/guardians.
- Temporary removal from activities.
- In extreme cases, a student may be sent home early at the parents’ expense.
